The United Oilseeds MagicTrap network is now up and running for the second year, so please do join the network and help build a more accurate picture of pest pressure across your region.

Having learned a lot from last year, and with a more structured approach, we’re confident we can deliver even more valuable insights, especially for cabbage stem flea beetle and pollen beetle monitoring.

 

Getting the best results from MagicTrap

We advise all users of MagicTrap to follow the best practice both in terms of cleaning and particularly the positioning of your traps. Please refer to the best practice guide that we are employing across our national network to ensure you get the best performance.

 

Sharing your MagicTrap with the United Oilseeds national network

In order to share your MagicTrap with the United Oilseeds network, there are two steps you need to follow:

1. Once everything is set up, click on your trap in the App. There will be a little man symbol with a + sign, click on that and add the email address for those you want to share the data with. Please share with our network by using the email address [email protected]
2. Once you have physically shared your trap, please let us know by providing a few simple details using our quick form. This will enable us to identify your trap and it’s location and communicate national and regional updates with you.
