Data Handling and Privacy Statement

This survey is coordinated by United Oilseeds in collaboration with UK farmer cooperatives and industry partners.

Purpose:

The survey aims to seek views on glyphosate use for pre-harvest desiccation in UK farming systems. Results will be aggregated and used to represent the views of growers in discussions with policymakers, industry bodies, and the wider farming community.

Data collection:

  • Participation is voluntary.
  • The survey does not require personal identifiers.
  • Respondents may optionally provide an email address to receive a summary of results; this will not be linked to survey answers in analysis.
  • No sensitive personal data will be collected.

Data storage and use:

  • Responses are collected via SurveyMonkey, where data is stored securely on EU/UK-based servers.
  • Data will be accessible only to authorised staff at United Oilseeds for analysis.
  • Results will be anonymised and combined for reporting. Individual responses will not be identifiable to any person, business, or cooperative.
  • All raw response data will be deleted within 12 months of survey closure.

Data sharing:

  • Aggregated, anonymised findings may be shared with government departments, opposition parties, agricultural organisations, and media outlets to support evidence-based policy discussion.
  • Collaborating cooperatives will not receive raw data or identifiable responses.
