United Oilseeds Marketing Ltd. (UOML) is the UK's only specialised oilseed rape marketing company. We focus all of our efforts on the growing and marketing of oilseed rape and linseed as well as pulses.
United Oilseeds has two key functions: marketing oilseed crops and seed sales. But United Oilseeds is more than that - we are a farmer-owned organisation (with over 3,000 members) and as such we work on behalf of our members to ensure that they are able to secure the very best returns from their crops.
Improving our members' profitability: United Oilseeds has one clear goal - to continually improve the profitability of our members by providing an independent, cost-effective marketing service.
We offer our members a range of services that include specialised market knowledge, impartial agronomic advice, excellent crop logistics and storage facilities as well as above market pool prices.
Profit Share: The dividend payment for the 2007/08 harvest has now been paid out and was a significant increase on the £303,000 returned to shareholder members for the 2006/07 period. The payment was made on the 1st June 2009 to shareholder members registered on or before the 30th June 2008.
To ensure that you qualify for all future dividend distributions make sure you become a shareholder member. Cost of a lifetime membership is a one-off fee of only £15 and is open to current and new trading customers.
- Shareholder members are entitled to any profit share dividend, based on the members' business volume, in true co-operative spirit.
- Shareholder members are able to gain access to the United Oilseeds website Members Only section, which gives additional benefits, such as technical advice, with supporting tools and aids, and a daily market update including information on market drivers and prices.
