Soils are in the main too warm and too dry for Propyzamide (Kerb etc.) to be applied. Soil temp needs to be max 10C and falling. Soil Moisture Deficit (SMD) needs to be a maximum of 50mm and falling. The optimum time for application is usually during November. It may be worth considering applying a tank mix of Propyzamide plus graminicide to further improve control by 5-10% or add a silicone wetter such as Slither.
Black grass control may well be poor where the soil has been ploughed before planting the oilseed rape..
