On behalf of United Oilseeds, I would like to thank all of our members who visited our stand at this year's Cereals event.
There was a constant flow of members coming onto the stand to talk to their local area manager, with the wet weather failing to dampen spirits. In total, the United Oilseeds team talked to over 1,000 customers during the two day event, discussing an array of topics including the following:
I was personally very pleased to receive some of the exceptionally positive feedback that I got from my conversations with many members. That level of feedback gives me added confidence that United Oilseeds is doing the right things to benefit its members and that we are a company that will continue to reach new heights in terms of performance and service.
It also gives me great pleasure to announce the winner of our DK Cabernet competition in which we asked you: The average oilseed rape variety on this year's National List requires 6.7 hectares of land to fill a 29 tonne wagon. But how many hectares of DK Cabernet would it take to fill the same wagon?
The correct answer to the question was: A) 6.0 hectares
My congratulations go to Roger Wilson of Lower Odd Farm in Malmesbury, Wiltshire who wins £100 of Marks and Spencer vouchers.
