Hybrid Oilseed Rape
Flash is a restored hybrid oilseed rape variety that is suitable for planting throughout the UK.
Flash is one of the best performing varieties on the HGCA's Recommended List with a gross output of 105% in the East and West and 111% in the North. Flash also provides a high oil content of 44.7% in the East and West, and 45.1% in the North.
The improved root structure of hybrid varieties enables improved scavenging for water and nutrients making them less susceptible to difficult growing conditions. Flash has the explosive growth power to really take off during the early spring months even after the harshest of winters. Flash shows good recovery from pigeon damage.
Flash has excellent agronomics and scores well for disease resistance. With a good score for lodging and stem stiffness, an effective crop management regime will enable growers of Flash to take full advantage of its high gross output.
