A broad spectrum seed dressing applied to oilseed rape
- 280g/litre thiamethoxam
- 8g/litre fludioxonil
- 33.3g/litre mefenoxam
This seed treatment has a number of distinct advantages which have shown up in both trial and field situations
- It is a water based dressing allowing quicker passage of soil water to the seed, aiding rapid emergence
- It gives good control of seedling Downy Mildew which can severely reduce growth and plant numbers
- There is excellent control of Damping off diseases, Alternaria, Pythium and Phoma
- There is good control of autumn aphid numbers reducing the risk of virus disease and spread
- Crop stands are much improved, allowing for the use of lower seed rates with confidence
- Field assessments carried out in early October across East Anglia showed an average increase in plant population from 42.6 plants to 58.8 plants per sq.m. The number of leaves per plant also increased from 3.7 to 4.6. There was also a marked decreases in the aphids found on the plants in late October.
